Lying Low (For Now)

Still hiding out. I'm trying desperately to stay off people's (things') radar until I can get away.

I did manage to get back into my room after a while, though they're still monitoring me. I'm using one of Dea's zany theoretical thingies- some kind of mystical 'keep out' sign, apparently- to keep them from coming into the room itself, and that at least seems to work fine. Not that I should trust that at all.

Dea's journal talks more about magic the later I read. I'm not sure if she was getting crazier of if she was just finding more out, but I'm using every resource I find, and if that's one of them then good for me, I guess. Runes and magic circles and stuff, mostly. It seems like nonsense, but so does a monster that kills you, pulls your organs out and hangs you in a tree.

I've got some supplies and stuff, but I don't have everything, so I'm tentatively making plans to get out of here around New Year's. I know, I know, I'm taking too long, but I'm thinking that I'm better off gathering everything now than running out of supplies later. It'll be a while before it's safe for me to stop anywhere for longer than an hour or so.

So- see you when I have more to report? I guess?

  1. Glad to hear you'll be leaving soon. I was getting slightly worried.

I don't know if this will help, but I understand people can protect themselves from Slendy (at least from a limited amount of time) if they have a strong enough will. Don't really know how that works, but apparently it does.

    Talk to you later.

  2. From what I understand, the circle is just a focus to exert a person's willpower more effectively.
Sorry to worry you. I honestly didn't mean to, but I've had other things on my mind than updating my blog at the moment- like how to get in and out of the dorms without being followed or, worse, ambushed. So far I've found a couple ways I can use, but I'm only using one of them right now so I can fall back on the others if I need to.

  3. Good to hear from you again. I was afraid something had gone wrong. How was your holiday? Running from Eldritch Abominations? Dat's cool. But seriously, I sent you my warmest regards during this cold time.
